IT WOULD BE NICE IF THERE WERE MORE YOUNG PEOPLE THIS ASTUTE ABOUT THE IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE ......AND MORE NOT-SO-YOUNG PEOPLE TOO. Perspective

One day , the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip , the father asked his son , "How was the trip?" "It was great , Dad." "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah , " said the son. "So , tell me , what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father. The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us , but they serve others. We buy our food , but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us , they have friends to protect them." The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added , "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are." Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have. Appreciate every single thing you have , especially your friends! "Life is too short and friends are too few."
" I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
Philippians 4:13

Do You Believe This ???A girl went to her friends house and she ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small community and she lived only a few blocks away.As she walked along under the bike trail Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a shortcut to her house, she decided to take it...However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her.She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection.Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there.Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep.Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him.She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her.She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her".Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're not alone. People will not stand up for God. PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what:'If you deny me in front of your friends, I shall deny you in front of my Father' STAND UP FOR HIM . .. .

LEGACY

If I could choose my Legacy, it would not run towards fame, it would not lean
towards fortunes grasp, or avoid the halls of pain. It would not crave for
acknowledgement from sages old or new; the legacy I seek to leave, casts shades of an
eternal hue. Few will know my caring heart, or the love that flows within; few will
touch my virtue, or understand my sin. And traveling through this path of tears, I
dare not doubt my soul; for all I have and all I gave was surely a noble goal. When my
heart and head lie still, one comfort remains with me; my words from heart to
children will, be my LEGACY.

Sundays are always fun to look forward to cause
its Nate's only day off. He came up with the idea
to have a picnic by the lake, it was so cute! So we
went and got some chicken to chow down on, fed
the ducks and the boys skipped rocks into the lake
while Tylar and i picked some pretty Yellow flowers.

They had the biggest jungle gym I've ever seen
at the zoo along with a water park! The kids had
a blast!!!
_________________________________________________________
They also had a petting zoo; the kids were petting
the goats, chasing them around and feeding them too!
I think this was their favorite part!

___________________________________________________________

They had an Anaconda and a lot more rare animals
I've ever seen at a zoo before!
___________________________________________________________
Yuck Spiders!! I got the chills looking at them and
even when I posted these!
___________________________________________________________
Monkeys, Bats, Anteaters, Turtles, Birds, Leopards,
Elephants and much more!!
________________________________________________________
I think this was the longest line I've ever had to
wait in at a zoo, it's also because it was "Ice Day"
a special event with ice cream eating contest, cool
ice sculptures in all the animals cages, activities,
music, carousel rides and more! The camels were
way cute and the monkeys were so active, just
swinging on the branches from tree to tree and they
were sooooo loud! Come to think of it, I don't recall
ever hearing Monkeys like that ever in person, only on
t.v. It was crazy! It also was the prettiest Zoo I have
ever seen in my life!

I swear every where you go in Nashville; there
are bridges every where of all sizes! It's sooooo
beautiful here and may I add, WAY better than
Little Rock! The humidity isn't too bad either. It's
so green every where but not so woodsy like AR.
I like it a lot here so far but just wish Jess was still out
here!

Tylar's Potty Trained! So Proud Of My Kids!!

I am SO proud of Tylar! About 2 months ago I started putting her on the toilet just here and there so she would get the idea. I did a star chart with her and for a couple days she went consistently but then had no interest and refused to use the potty. I figured she'll go when she's ready. With Braxton I stayed home for 3 days straight, putting him on the potty every 20 min all day. He caught on fast! At first I used night diapers when he went to bed, then I noticed every morning they were always dry. One night I got up in the middle of the night and saw Braxton using the bathroom, I was so proud, a 3 year old, getting up in the middle of the night, pulling down his night time pull up and going in the potty! He never once to this day has had an accident at night. Well with Tylar I figured I would do the same when she turns 3 and that she'd be ready then. Well about a week ago, she started using the potty again on her own, I thought she would lose interest again; what do ya know, she now for the past 3 days has not worn a diaper except at night and is using the potty all the time! The best part about it is I don't even have to remind her or ask her; she justs walks in the bathroom and owns it! I have to keep an eye on her though so I can make sure I wipe her because she is so independent and wants to do it on her own; shes like that with almost every thing! It's almost a battle sometimes cause certain things need my assistance like avoiding a uti if she wipes the wrong way and having a matching outfit on the right way and a cute hair do and avoiding food and drinks getting spilt! I love that she's so independent but certain things require my help and like I said, it could be a battle! Silly little girl! Also we all fell asleep last night forgetting to put a night diaper on her; we wake up and it was the first thing I thought of and prepared myself for a huge mess and clean up; to my surprise, she was dry!! I can't believe it, maybe I am just lucky when it comes to potty training my kids, they are easy when it comes to that or I'd say they're just super smart!! I have also been teaching them a lot lately since I have time on my hands. Braxton now can count to 50, spell and write his name and even use the laptop on his own playing games and finding letters, he is so smart! I don't think I could even spell and write my name before I was in kinder garden! We are also working on adding, which he knows adding any numbers through 10! Tylar can count to 30 only stumbling on a couple numbers. What really shocks me is the way she talks, she pronounces everything so clear, every one thinks she's 3 or older. I am so proud of them both and so thankful to be blessed with them as my children!!!!

Road Trip To Nashville TN

Bulleted List

We headed out Sunday to Nashville, TN happily

leaving behind Little Rock! Here's a few pics of

downtown Nashville.

Silly Kids!

I wasn't going to post these but Nate said he
didn't care. First of all these pics do not do justice,
it looks WAY worse in person. When he got back
from Texarkana, the next morning his eyes and
nose were totally swollen and he could barely open
his left eye. He was complaining of burning and
itching! I googled it and went to the pharmacist
and came to the conclusion it was allergies,
especially after Jess's incident with allergies with
her ear. We got him Benadryll and allergy eye drops.
It seemed like it helped at first but then it just got
worse and every time he went outside, it swelled up
more! Finally we get here to Nashville thinking it
would get better being out of Little Rock, NOPE no
luck! I feel so bad for him cause he's in pain and to
see him so down on himself, he can't stand looking like
a goon he says! We went to the doctors yesterday and
they said it's eczema caused by an allergic reaction to
something; so they prescribed a cream for the swelling,
hopefully it will take effect quick so he can feel better and
be back to his normal self. Poor guy!!!
